A country to enjoy the water all year

For thousands of years travelers from around the world have come to Catalonia to enjoy its mineral-medicinal waters, for health or relaxing reasons. Catalonia is the area of Spain with more spas and balnearios. It is no coincidence that, the mineral and medicinal properties of the water have helped increase its popularity.

Many Catalan towns like Benifallet, Caldes d’Estrac, Caldes de Malavella, Caldes de Montbui, el Vendrell, la Garriga, Sant Climent Sescebes, Sant Hilari Sacalm and Santa Coloma de Farners are famous for their long-standing relationship with hydrotherapy. It is all due to the Romans whose traditional use of thermal springs was the cause these towns settled and flourished. So much so, that water has become an important part of their idiosyncrasy.

From spas to wellness centers

Water is used for a wide range of treatments. Whichever it is there is a spa, resort or wellness center that does it. It does not matter if the purpose of your visit is for cosmetic, or health reasons, highly qualified professionals are always at hand to assist, guide, and provide advice.

The main difference between the spas and balnearios is the water temperature and its mineral and medicinal properties.
