Meet the Three Wise Men on the Snow
This weekend Children who want to ski in Catalonia need not to fear to be left without gifts. The Three Wise Men will swap their traditional camels for a snow plough, to climb to the ski resorts and spread joy and excitement.
This Saturday at 6 pm, La Molina ski resort will serve a cup of hot chocolate on the Pista Llarga slope. After that, there will be the popular torch parade that will guide the Magi to the slopes where they will deliver presents to the children.

The railways of the Generalitat de Catalunya have set up a special train, so that all children can go from Queralbs to Núria to greet the Wise Men. The train will depart at 4:54 pm on Saturday. On arrival to Vall de Núria, bar Finestrelles will act as a meeting point. Again a cup of hot chocolate will be given away to those who want to meet the Three Kings from the East, who will come through the forest and will head towards the church of Núria at 6:30 pm. After a welcome proclamation, there is scheduled a visit to the statue of Mare de Déu de Núria and the collecting of letters from the kids.
The ski resort of Baqueira Beret wants to invite its visitors to a hot cup of chocolate and a piece of ‘coca’ (cake). Where? Next to the resort main offices. Melchior, Caspar and Balthazar will promptly arrive at 6:30 pm on the 1.500-meter mark over sea level.
Also this Saturday at the ski resort of Boí Taüll there will be a tent with music and all sorts of games and activities for kids. At noon, the Wise Men will arrive with the skis on. One hour later they will go to the tent. In the afternoon children’s activities will move to the Kid’s Club of the resort. Then, at 7:30 pm they will make the final stop of the day: The Social club of the ski resort.

Ski Competition for kids in Espot Esquí
On January 3rd and 4th, ski resort of Espot Esquí will host its Gran Premio (GP), a children’s competition organized and supervised by the Catalan Federation of Winter Sports. An event that will gather around 140 skiers and is part of the Children Catalan League, which this year celebrates its thirtieth edition. Slalom will be on the 3rd at the slope called “La 2” and Giant slalom will be on the next day, January 4th at the slope called “Estadio”.
