Enjoy skiing while helping fight against cancer with La Marató

This Sunday, Catalonia celebrates its annual telethon called La Marató de TV3 to raise funds to fight against cancer. It’s no secret that cancer’s impact goes beyond those diagnosed with it. That’s why the names and faces fighting against cancer can’t be left alone in this titanic struggle.

So, on December 16 we all have the opportunity to try to help curb the devastating effects of this illness. Some Catalan ski resorts like Baqueira Beret, La Molina and Masella, for instance have organized activities to help raise funds hoping to involve as many people as possible.

December 15, a charity race in Baqueira Beret

It’ll be this Saturday at the Beret Stadium. Both, skiers and snowboarders are welcome. It’s open to everybody and there is a participation fee of 15 euros, which will be added to the funds raised by La Marató de TV3.

The top three finishers in each category will receive a trophy and all participants will be included in a prize draw for ski gear and other prizes. In addition, anyone can participate in a charitable prize draw at the customer service point located on the 1500 mark above sea level in Baqueira. With a donation of just € 3 you can win ski pass, workshops, dinners, hotel nights and other prizes offered by the telethon’s collaborating brands, and local businesses of Val d’Aran.

Discounts and solidarity descent in La Molina

This Sunday, Club Elements offers 50% discounts on ski gear and lessons to encourage participation in the charitable descent that will take place at La Molina ski resort, at 1:30 pm. Money raised with the descent’s registration fee, will be handed over to La Marató. All participants will be able to taste a nice cup of hot chocolate at the end of the race.
