Some ideas to enjoy the summer

When the holidays come, sometimes, all we want is just do nothing. Maybe, get settled into a quiet place, away from traffic and madding crowd and enjoy the view of a beautiful landscape with a fine meal. Casa Angrill might just let you do that. A rural hotel surrounded by fields and oak forests located in Montpol, a small town in near the Pyrenees of Lleida with a population of just over 200. The ground floor of Casa Angrill was built in the tenth century and is the perfect setting for a relaxing vacation. However if you decide to be active, you can easily go hiking, do some canyoning or even practice some archery.

If what you are after is a place to unwind, but want to mix it with some wine tasting, you may want to head over to Hostal Sport, in the town of Falset. A family-owned business that started back in the year 1923 as a simple bar then grew into a restaurant and later became the hotel it is today. It is one of the most genuine places of the area. Its Catalan-style full English breakfast, and its extensive wine list are just two good reasons to stop by this beautiful corner of the Priorat.

But if you’re looking for a one-day escape, you can go to the Celler Barbara Forés, a winery in the town of Gandesa, county of Terra Alta. You will not be disappointed. It is another family-owned business with a long history and a catalogue of very distinct wines. You can take a guided tour and later sit for a tasting.

Gracias por la recomendación … Gracias a Emotioners conocemos más y mejor Catalunya. Vivo aquí hace 4 años y esta agencia nos deja llegar más allá de la Rambla o algún Museo bien promocionado… Visca Catalunya ….
